No news November

Today morning I woke up and realized that my brain is constantly thinking about world problems like refugee crisis. I think about this problems everyday at least 2h a day and sleep with them. This kills my productivity and I cannot concentrate on anything else. So I will make a small experiment on myself, I will unsubsribe from all news channels in my YouTube and will stop watching news on TV.

Lets see what will change in my brain :)

Apple Watch or Pebble Time?

Today I did a lot of research on both of the gadgets, videos, reviews and also feedback from people at the Internet and from people who uses it. After all this, my choice is Pebble Time!

I really wanted to buy Apple Watch just because it looks good and fully compatible with the apps I use on my iPhone. There are several reasons why I didn't choose Apple Watch, the critical ones are:

  • Charging your Watch everyday is insane
  • Development for Pebble is super easy
  • Geeky design of the Watch

Regarding charging, I need to say a bit more. For travelers, or for people like me (developers) Apple Watch is not the best option, as I have already several gadgets/devices to charge, like Macbook, iPhone, iPad and Kindle. Imagine, how many charging cables you need to take with you if you travel? Or what do you need to charge during flight? Your watch? iPhone or iPad? So for me this is the most critical point and thats why I bought the Pebble Time.

If you have the same points, go and get your own Pebble Time.

Ho Chi Minh City - Rum bar

Today I want to tell you about one of the most notable places in the HCMC(Saigon), Rum bar.

There are not a lot of people know about this place, as it is true local vietnamese drinking spot, there you have small chairs and tables, vietnamese "waiter" who every 15 minutes adds ice into your rum & coke.

Another plus of the place is cheap rum. The price for the rum is about 70k vietnamese dongs for a bottle which is less than $5 USD. On Friday, you can meet here a lot of Saigon expats, mostly language teachers.

In the menu they have also something to eat but I have never tired it.

I will highly recommend you to visit this awesome alcohol spot and try local home made rum.
